Ireland

[Visited: Summer 2017]

I wanted to take a few minutes to share with you all my experience in Ireland this summer.

First of all, before I left New York to go to Dublin all I heard from most people was how it was going to rain the whole time. Well, I got to Dublin, and it was the most beautiful day ever. And to sum it up I pretty much woke up to a beautiful day every day!  So I got to the airport and I took a cab to my hotel, and the driver couldn’t have been nicer. He took me by a few sights he thought I should eventually see.  Then I checked into my hotel and, WOW! Yeah... this is exactly where I wanted to be... so, good choice Omar! The place is called The Shelbourne Hotel in Dublin. Amazing! It's elegant and comfortable… like five stars comfortable.  And the level of customer service is on point.

So I checked in and took a little nap on the most amazing bed ever and then woke up, went for a work out at the gym and then went to the pool. Now I was ready to explore the town.

I found this cute little place for dinner in the process of walking. It's a little restaurant called "Alfie's". It's small and sexy and it's right on William Street in the midst of it all. Plus, they had internet access. The food was great, and I loved the waiter, I forgot his name but he was super cute not to mention he was very helpful and a lot of fun.

The first night we went to a few bars down by Temple bar and had a blast. Again the one thing I noticed about this city was that everyone was so extremely friendly, more so than in other cities I have been to. In fact, I ended up having lunch with this older couple that was very much interested in talking to me for some reason.

The next day we went to have dinner at this other restaurant at The Conrad Hotel. The restaurant is called THE COBURG and this place was awesome, super modern but still cozy and definitely sexy. Loved it! I went to The George, and that was a super fun bar. But the best was a few nights into the trip, I met these 2 girls and they invited me to an afterhours spot called Odessa and this place was crazy! The music was insanely sexy and the crowd was young and super fun.

We went and saw all the sights, ST. Patrick’s Cathedral, Christ Church, The Palace and the Famous Trinity College.  The parks are full of flowers as is the entire city.

Another night we went to have dinner at this restaurant called "The Dean" and it’s a rooftop that is amazing for a few reasons. You can see the whole city from up there, it's modern and very sexy!! The city is full of energy, great bars, and super fun people.

One more restaurant that'd like to mention also on William Street is a place called “La Cucina”.  This place is at the bottom of one of the "Power's Court" residences. At one point this building-palace belonged to a very wealthy aristocrat that also has a castle about 30 minutes from Dublin.

I’m sorry I just took a total detour, the little Italian restaurant is so so so cozy it's amazing, so do yourself a favor and go there.

To sum it up, I had an amazing time in Ireland, I did go to The Guinness factory and did I get a little drunk? You bet!! I had a total blast in this small city and the Castle I just mentioned. Yes, it was a bit cold but it was beautiful, and I highly recommend it.
