San Francisco

[OVERVIEW]

Northern California happens to be very different than any other place in the entire state as far as I’m concerned. The landscape is breathtaking. And it is pretty wild how it looks like the mountains give birth to the city. Then to the other side you have the Pacific Ocean.

The cable cars really give this city a very European flavor. It is a slightly expensive city, but it is so worth it. So make your way to Northern Cali and have a great time in this amazing part of the country.

San Fran is a beautiful, relaxing if you want to it to be or totally nuts. I like the energy of the city… I found some really great restaurants and lots of bars to go have a drink at after walking around all day. The people are super friendly also, which makes it easy to find friends no matter where you end up.

[ACCOMMODATIONS]

• Part of me has felt that if you stay at one place over and over again all around the world then you aren't really experiencing what an area has to offer. I know people that stay at the same resort chain all over the place and I never understood why because you're traveling without really experiencing the culture. But staying at the W all over the world has helped me understand a little. It isn't a resort so of course I am still exploring but with the W I know that I am going to be treated amazing, the service is incomparable and it will always be a stylish and trendy place. Overall the W is affordable and each location has something different, like a bar or a club or rooftop, so in no way is it the same hotel every time. A familiar, yet unique experience is probably the best way to put it. This W is not one of my favorites of the chain, but still amazing nonetheless

• The Fairmont Hotel: The building and the rooms have this beautiful old-world look and feel to them and everyone here is so warm and polite. You know that service is HUGE for me and this place lacks it in no way, shape or form. The restaurant has this Aspen-esq feel to it as everything is wood and just so cozy!

[SIGHTSEEING]

So as touristy as this may sound, please make sure you go see Alcatraz. This was an amazing experience. First of all the way the city look form the boat as you move away from the city is just priceless with the mountains in the back and all. Then being there really puts you in a different mindset. I’m very creative so I can imagine so much as I was walking through Alcatraz. I loved it. Do book this tour way ahead of time or you probably won’t get in unless, you’re an American Express Platinum member and then…. The World is full of all kinds of opportunities. Just saying…
