Las Lenas & Mendoza
[OVERVIEW]
For those of you who don’t know, Las Lenas happens to be a ski place in the Andes Region of Argentina. And Mendoza is the wine country. The reason I have decided to incorporate them in one page is because I went skiing for three days and then I drove to Mendoza from here, which is only a one and a half hour drive or so.
Las Lenas is a very remote area in the Andeas. It happens to be very very dry so the snow is very powdery. If you’re in search for powder, this is the place to go. Not only is the powder amazing, so is the nightlife. I would highly recommending bringing your helmets since I get the feeling that the locals don’t believe in using them. This is a very special and beautiful place. Definitely one that should be on your “list of places to visit.”
I’m sure by now you have heard of Mendoza. This is the wine country at the foot of the Andes. I stayed in a winery called “Algodon” (cotton). This is the sister hotel of the one I recommended in Buenos Aires. It’s a beautiful hotel with a winery, golf course and an amazing restaurant.

After spending a day skiing on the most amazing powder you have ever seen, treat yourself to an amazing dinner coupled with some of the best local wines and get ready to go out and enjoy the nightlife. It’s pretty spectacular.
[ACCOMMODATIONS]
• In Las Lenas definitely stay at Virgo Hotel and Spa - Comfortable rooms and pools with amazing views!

• In Mendoza Hotel Algodon-Winery- Golf Club is the way to go. - I mean, listen, it has Golf, Wine and all the amenities of a luxury hotel so it speaks for itself! It is perfect for singles, couples and families! There is always something to do for everyone.
[RESTAURANTS]
• The ski resort has a few different restaurants. To be honest we ate at all of them and they were all great and very Argentinian authentic.

• In The Mendoza Hotel Algodon has what happens to be an amazing restaurant with a spectacular view right there. We ate dinner here the two nights. However, we had lunch in a few different places as we went through a few of the wineries so pick a winery, learn about this amazing region and this delicious wine and notice the level of passion that these people put into what they do, it’s really amazing! I would go back anytime!
[SIGHTSEEING]
After spending a day skiing on the most amazing powder you have ever seen, treat yourself to an amazing dinner coupled with some of the best local wines and get ready to go out and enjoy the nightlife. It’s pretty spectacular.
I also recommend that you give yourself enough time to visit the wine country to enjoy how the wine is made and taste some of the local cuisine. If you enjoy steak, you’ll understand why they have a reputation of having some of the best steak in the world. The locals, from the way I was treated, really enjoy spoiling and pampering their guests in anyway that they can. Hospitality at its finest.

The scenery is amazing! Definitely plan on taking a long drive!
[NIGHTLIFE]
There are a few clubs in some of the hotels and they really are a lot of fun! Like a lot of fun! Let’s just say, I hardly ever slept and skied all day. I'm not sure how I did it but I did and it was stupendous.

So, go out and drink something! You really can't go wrong at any place!
