Poland: Warsaw

Poland isn’t one of those countries that is on everyone’s radar but it was on mine for a while and I’m so glad I got to experience all that it has to offer. There is still a great deal of construction because of how severely damaged it was back during World War II, yes still. But in spite of all the construction you can still get around. The nightlife is pretty fun and they have the best chocolate I have ever had anywhere in the world. The language can be a bit tricky and not everyone speaks English so if you can, do what I did and hire a private guide or a private driver as this will make your life a lot easier. You can use local currency as well as Euro’s. There is a great deal of history in Poland, some is great and some isn’t so good but definitely worth seeing and experiencing. So put it on your list of places to go see at some point in your life, I think you will love it. Another thing I think you will love about Poland is that everything is super affordable so you can live like a King (or Queen!) for not a lot of money.

Warsaw is most definitely a stylish city but its not Paris, I’m just being honest but the people I met were super friendly and more than willing to help you in anyway they could. The nightlife which I will elaborate on further on this page is fun and slightly crazy. I think in a few years once all the construction is done, this is going to be a very vibrant city, full of young beautiful people. But its still full of lots of great restaurants and bars and quite a few things to do during the day.

Take the tram through town. Its a great way to meet people and sight-see! We found a lot of bars this way =)

ACCOMMODATIONS: • The H15 Boutique Hotel is really all you need in Warsaw. It’s centrally located and pretty stylish.

There are a lot of outdoor markets where you'll find plenty of shopping! If antiques are your thing you wont be disappointed!

RESTAURANTS: • Marconi Restaurant is my favorite restaurant in Warsaw. • The Sofitel has 2 great restaurants. • Bistro Warszawa in the old town is cute and really delish!

The city is full of beautiful architecture and monuments.

SIGHTSEEING: • The Royal Castle • The Warsaw Jewish Heritage Tour • World War II Tour

BARS: The Warsaw Pub Crawl is a most for sure!!! During this tour you will get to go to a quite a few different bars and pubs and this was a blast. It is also a fantastic way to experience Warsaw as you are guided from place to place so you will see some beautiful architecture along the way and it gives you the ability to meet tons of people and learn more about the area. Take advantage of this! You will drink and learn a lot.

NIGHTLIFE: Toro which happens to be a gay bar was a blast for sure. Probably one of the friendliest clubs I have ever been to. Even if you meet someone who doesn't really speak English, they will try. And the bartender was awesome.
